Nature Discovery and Service Weekend
Beaver Creek Reserve

Join us for the CVC Spring Camporee, hosted by Timber Rivers District at Beaver Creek Reserve. Troops will have the opportunity to explore the 400 acre property, the Nature Center, and provide service to Beaver Creek Reserve. There will be plenty of Scouting spirit, fellowship and even a cooking competition.

Tentative Schedule
Friday Night:
- 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Troop Check-in/Camp Set-up
- 8:00 PM Leaders' meeting at HQ/ First Aid Building (SPL's & Scoutmasters)
Saturday:
- 7:00AM to 8:30 AM Wake up and breakfast with your troop
- 8:00AM-8:45AM Late registrations and check-in
- 8:45 AM Flag Ceremony
- 9AM-12PM Conservation & Service projects
- 12:00PM-1:30PM Lunch with your Troop
- 1:30-4:30PM Explore Beaver Creek Nature Center and Hiking Trails, Merit Badge Programming (TBD)
- 5:00 PM Closing Flag Ceremony
- 5:15-6:30 PM Dinner with your troop
- 7:00 PM Cooking Competition (stay tuned for more information)
- 8:30PM-9:15 PM Campfire Program and Awards
- 10 PM Lights out
Sunday:
- 7:00AM-11:00AM Breakfast with your troop and "Leave no Trace" Check Out
Service Projects:
Possible service projects include, but not limited to(exact projects will be determined closer to the event by BCR staff):
- Building birdhouses
- Trail improvements
About Beaver Creek Reserve:
Beaver Creek Reserve offers 400 acres of diverse habitats to explore filled with a variety of plants and animals. Upland woods, river bottom forests, wetlands and savannah areas are all found at Beaver Creek Reserve. Bordered by the Eau Claire river with two small trout stream that run through the property, there is an abundance of flora and fauna to be discovered. Nearly 9 miles of hiking trails wind their way through their 400 acres.
Scouts can find maps for the hiking trails at the Nature Center and should check out the Discovery Room while visiting the Nature Center.
